The Aston Martin F1 team has been on quite a ride since billionaire owner, Lawrence Stroll took it under his wing. He bought the Force India team in 2018 and while the outfit has gone through a couple of name changes, the goal for senior Stroll remains the same, to take the team to the top in F1.

Lance Stroll has been a permanent figure in the outfit with the support of his father. While the ongoing 2024 season is at a halt, Lance has taken the time to talk in detail about his father’s vision for the team.

Aston Martin had an extremely fruitful 2023 season in F1.

Yes, he has the vision and the passion. He wants to be at the front, and that's what he's given everyone at Silverstone, an opportunity to do it and the tools to do it. Lawrence is putting his heart, his passion, and his ambition into the project.  By that, I mean giving everyone at Silverstone all the tools to bring something special to the race track.

Lance Stroll via his comments, has left no stone unturned in making people aware of his father’s passion for the Aston Martin F1 team. Moreover, this is also one of the reasons why Lawrence Stroll brought on board the two-time world champion, Fernando Alonso at the start of 2023. Senior Stroll wants to see his team fighting for the world championship in the upcoming years!

Lance Stroll views 2026 as an ‘excellent opportunity’ for Aston Martin

While the 25-year-old Canadian driver has applauded his father for his vision for Aston Martin, he views the upcoming regulation change as a great opportunity. 2026 will see the dawn of a new era at the pinnacle of motor racing!

The regulations from that year onwards are completely different in comparison to the ground effect challengers.

The wind tunnel will be ready in a few months. 2026 is a great opportunity for all teams, a completely new regulation. I think it's an exciting opportunity, a change in regulations is always an exciting opportunity for teams to try and come up with something special.
Lance Stroll said in the same interview

Keeping in view the optimism Stroll has shown around 2026, it is quite clear that Aston Martin is targeting the new regulations. However, while the Silverstone-based team is putting in maximum effort, so are the other outfits on the grid. As things stand, it is extremely difficult to predict who will dominate the sport from 2026 onwards.
